It has been announced that the 2026 World Cup Final Draw will take place at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington DC on 5th December 2025.

In just over 3 months, all eyes will fall on the Kennedy Centre in Washington DC for the final draw, where the world will discover the group stage matches to be played at the 2026 World Cup as well as when they will take place and where they will be hosted.

Excitement is building as the world prepares for the biggest World Cup yet, set to take place across Canada, Mexico, and the United States. By the time the much-anticipated group stage draw unfolds in Washington DC this December, 42 of the 48 participating nations will have secured their spots, including the three host countries – Mexico, Canada, and the USA – who will each take up their designated places in the tournament line up. The remaining six places will be decided in March, when North America hosts a new play-off tournament featuring six teams from five different confederations, while UEFA will conduct a separate play-off to determine the last four European qualifiers.

The draw itself is scheduled to begin at 12:00 local time (18:00 CET) and will be broadcast live to audiences worldwide through the official network of media partners.

As the countdown continues toward the opening match at Mexico City’s iconic Estadio Azteca on 11th June 2026, fans can already celebrate the qualification of teams such as defending champions Argentina, as well as Australia, Brazil, Ecuador, IR Iran, Japan, Jordan (making their debut), Korea Republic, New Zealand, and Uzbekistan, who will appear at the tournament for the first time.
